Fresh Bitter Glow Oyster Liquid Cultures (LCs) restocked.
I am pleased to announce that P. cubensis var “Wikidzon” spore prints are back in stock and fresh Wikidzon spore swabs have also been added. You can see the phenotype of the recent batch highlighted as the main photograph for the Wikidzon spore prints.
In classic cubensis variety fashion, Psilocybe cubensis var “Wikidzon” is an interesting variety with a convoluted past. It is rumored to be a strain developed from PES-Amazonian (PESA); however, it hasn’t been verified. Still a beloved variety for many years, Wikidzon is its own stable variety and deserves a place in your spore library and under your microscope.

The Psilocybe cubensis var “Golden Mammoth” strain has an unclear backstory. As far as I can tell, it was originally created and sold by a Canadian vendor a decade ago with some false information including a false species name. A fun dive into marketing in the past. Get your hands on Golden Mammoth!

One of our customer’s favorite varieties is back in stock as spore prints (and fresh spore swabs)- Ps. cubensis var “Blue Meanie”!
There is confusion with the Blue Meanie name as Pan. cyans. are called “blue meanies” colloquially. The original naming of this variety was done by Keeper (a very old seller who had shady practices) and seems to be done on purpose to cause confusion. Regardless, Blue Meanie has continued to be stabilized and is now its own variety. An interesting piece of lore of your spore library!
A new P. cubensis spore syringe variety is now available! Gets your hands on a Fiji spore syringe today. Fiji has replaced PESA.
Psilocybe cubensis var “Fiji” originated on the island of Fiji. This variety has been domesticated, and is loved by spore collectors. Get some tropical island representation in your spore collection! See why there has been some recent love online for this variety, it will quickly fill your heart. Great for beginners and experienced mycologists alike.

To reflect the recent understanding of the genetics offered, MushroomManMycology has officially renamed Psilocybe natalensis to Psilocybe ochraceocentrata. MMM is still offering the same cultures and prints as before; however, they will now be known as Psilocybe ochraceocentrata. That means all Psilocybe natalensis offered in the past is actually Psilocybe ochraceocentrata. What an exciting time to be part of the mycology community. Psilocybe natalensis is the most beginner friendly exotic (non-cubensis) to work with. A sister species to P. cubensis but with different genetics, phenotypes and chemistry. A new exciting variety has dropped at MMM- checkout Jack Frost Revert (F1)! Spore swabs and spore prints are available, but the prints are in very limited supply.
Psilocybe cubensis var “Jack Frost Revert F1” is recently released from MMM’s supplier. A batch of Jack Frost was intentionally stressed to induce phenotypic change. This change to the F0’s resulted in the production of leucistic Jack Frost that had some spore deposition. Most of the caps showed a pattern of black spores in the center with no or albino spores around the outside (see image for example). This phenotype will try to be stabilized and renamed, but for now follow along, document, and participate in the genetic selection process. Start with these genetically diverse F1 spores and see what phenotypes arise.

A classic variety with the rightfully earned monicker “King”, Psilocybe cubensis var “Lizard King” spore prints and spore swabs are now restocked with fresh spores. Lizard King was originally collected by a user known as “Lizard King” on an online mycology forum. This variety is now a staple in spore libraries and is desired among collectors due to its tried and true output.
