Psilocybe cubensis var “Tidal Wave F4” was developed in the last decade and has become a superlative variety. Tidal Wave is a cross between “B+” and “Penis Envy; PE” and has produced many different variations as it is not yet stable.
The Tidal Wave F4 offered here were cloned from Tidal Wave F4 that were presenting more of a canonical phenotype but with intense bluing- the photograph on the collector’s card shows a MS grow of the TW F4 that the clone was selected from.
The Tidal Wave F2 that generated the F3s had a canonical phenotype with canonical printing; however, the F3s that produced the F4s had PE presentation (requiring swabbing as no prints were produced).
F4 marks the start of a genetically stable landmark in the making of a variety, a treasured collectors item to look back and compare to future stable Tidal Wave varieties. The Psilocybe cubensis Huautla variety is a recent collection from the wilds of southern Mexico in the region of Oaxaca near the village of Huautla de Jimenez. It has been domesticated and well loved for many years and makes great slides for spore viewing. A great beginner variety!

This variety is leucistic with reddish-brown spores (a stable line that originated from AA+ and Columbian Rust Spore- CRS).
