Ganoderma multipileum

Fruits best between 70-85°F but will grow (albeit slowly!) as low as the 50s. Takes months to grow to maturity and can be done mostly within a grow bag. This species tends to make more antlers and impressive shapes than the Red Reishi I offer. The photo series below is of the same block over time.

2-3 weeks growth from full colonization, antlers forming in vitro.

5-6 weeks growth from full colonization, antlers forming in vitro (bag was rolled down for photo).

8-9 weeks growth from full colonization, antlers forming in vitro (bag was rolled down for photo).

~14 weeks growth from full colonization, antlers formed in vitro until ~9 weeks, and were grown in monotub since.

All gourmet liquid cultures (LCs) are provided with a 16g needle (in the manufacturer’s packaging) and come in 10 mL capped syringes. They will be labelled and are grown in a 2% malt extract solution. Shake well before use.

Phenomenal genetics, phenomenal service

The only problems I have ever had are MY OWN problems -- what I mean is that you can rely on MMM for learning more about your practice because the genetics are so strong and I've never had a contam issue that wasn't caused by my own practice. Amazing colonization speed.

I was aware that reishi colonized quickly but I did not expect these to out contest my oysters! (inoculated the same date) From the work I've done with them so far this really feel like an exceptional culture. The grain pictured is at five days of growth.
